October 2009 At the end of my October trips I was having a great deal of trouble breathing and spent two days in hospital - the problem was fluid in my lungs and it looks like I will be on fluid tablets for ever
October 2009 I was one of the twelve photographers invited to ZoeFest at Mission Beach south of Cairns organised by Zoe Wiseman photographer fron the US. This is the eighth she has run for those interested in Fine Art Nude photography and this years is the first outside the US. There were twelve photographers and eleven models from around the world. I managed to schedule a shoot with most of the models (including a shoot in Sydney with two on the way home). I very much hope I can catch up with those I missed in the future. I took my daughter Rebecca and we spent twe days scouting locations then set up shoots over the next six days. Rebecca and I had a great time and i am now working my way through the images I took.
September 2009 Have become interested in video editing to help produce tutorials for my daughters on line Patchwork business. We already had a HD video camera and decided to use ADOBE Premiere Pro and After Effects for editing. First project to help get up the learning curve is a video retrospective of my nude work
August 2009 With Liz (my wife) and Rebecca (my daughter) we went to Hamilton Island in the Whitsunday group for a five day workshop with Peter Eastway, David Oliver and Bruce Pottinger - it was pretty cool with two helicopter flights (with the doors off)- met other interesting photographers and we all had a great time.

April 24 2008 Went into hospital for open heart surgery (new heart valve, double bypass and RF ablation on the heart wall). I had been suffering out of breathness since trip to Central Australia last October which was caused by fluid in the lungs driven by heart pumping inefficiently. In a month I should be a new person!
